Why they all look the same.
Generating a website is now free and takes an afternoon. That is genuinely good — a business with no site is worse off than a business with a generated one. But it means the generated ones are interchangeable, because they are all drawn from the same handful of component libraries with the same defaults, the same rounded indigo button, the same three-column feature grid, the same stock motion.
The difference a visitor feels but cannot name is whether anyone made a decision.
The useless feature is the tell. A generator optimizes — it will not spend an afternoon on something with no function, because nothing in the objective rewards it. When you find one anyway, you have found the exact place a person made a decision.

Why a buyer should care
Not for the reasons a designer would give. Restraint is why these pages load in well under a second — there is no framework, no component library, no font download, and the whole stylesheet is smaller than one stock hero image. Considered means fewer moving parts, and fewer moving parts is why nothing breaks at 2am.
And the part that is hard to fake: a visitor cannot evaluate your code, but they can tell within seconds whether a site was made or assembled. That judgment transfers to you. If the site feels like a template, the business behind it feels like one too.

Nothing, for a business that has none. The limitation is that generators draw from the same component libraries and defaults, so the results are interchangeable — and a site that looks like every other site transfers that impression to the business behind it.
